Job Description
The Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana is seeking a Summer Aquatics Director for their Camp Butternut Springs overnight camp. This role involves supervising campers in aquatic activities like swimming, water safety, and program leadership. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a dedication to providing a safe and positive learning environment.
Requirements
- Loves to interact with children and has prior experience working with children of various ages
- Enjoys spending time outdoors and has prior experience working in an outdoor setting
- Must be 21+ years old and possess a high school diploma or GED
- Must possess current certification in First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguard
- Lifeguard certifications must be from American Red Cross or an equivalent organization
- Minimum 3-5 years experience and demonstrated track record in lifeguarding, water safety, boating, swim instruction, and staff supervision
