Job Description
GIFFORDS is seeking a State & Regional Press Secretary to promote their mission and work advocating for gun violence prevention. The role involves media outreach, strategic communication planning, and serving as a spokesperson for the organization. The position requires flexible hours and the ability to work during evenings and weekends, as well as travel up to 25%.
Requirements
- Five years of experience in media and/or communications.
- Experience with political campaigns, party committees, PACs, or Capitol Hill.
- Experience forging and maintaining media contacts.
- Strong political and earned media instincts.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
