Job Description
GHGSat is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join their Operations Systems team. This role involves designing and deploying software systems for data processing and management of emissions data, using satellite and aircraft sensors. The team operates using Agile Scrum methodology and will analyze remote sensing data to identify and quantify greenhouse gas emissions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- 5+ years’ experience in relevant roles
- Strong computational science or software development skills
- Proven capability with: Linux, Python, Docker
- Experience with Cloud-based services (AWS)
- Competence with databases (PostgreSQL)
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction
