Job Description
This pipe welding position at General Dynamics NASSCO requires a qualified individual to weld metal surfaces or pipe using various welding equipment. The role involves performing tasks such as setting up tools, welding, cleaning the weld area, and other job duties related to the trade. Candidates should be proficient in welding equipment and possess knowledge of procedures and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Welds metal surfaces or pipe using various welding equipment.
- Proficiency in flat, vertical, overhead, and horizontal arc, SMAW and flux-core, tig welding and air arc skills.
- Must pass NASSCO’s plate test and 6G-restricted fix position test.
- Must be certified to operate high reaching equipment.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and readily available to work any shift.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
