General Dynamics NASSCO

2-4 yrs marine electrical, NASSCO assessment or training. Must be proficient with hand tools, blueprints, and read safety instructions

1-2 years abrasive blasting exp., SSPC C-7 cert. Knowledge of surface prep. Able to work at heights and in confined spaces

3+ yrs welding experience & proficiency. Must pass NASSCO plate test. High reach equipment certification required. Ability to read instructions & follow safety guidelines

Shipfitting/welding training and experience required. Basic machining, safety knowledge, and lift capability expected. Must be able to weld, cut/shape, and fabricate metal components

High school education preferred. 2-3 years of on-the-job experience at NASSCO required. Blueprint reading & pipefitting skills are essential

Two to four years experience as a Journeyman, ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions, and effective communication skills

Basic knowledge of Firefighting, successful completion of CSFM Firefighter 1, and ability to provide solutions to routine technical problems

High school education, 3 years of experience or relevant training, ability to comprehend instructions and safety regulations

Bachelor's Degree, 4 years of experience, and Professional Engineer's License required

2+ yrs exp. blueprint reading &ship terminology. Good welding skills and mechanical ability (preferred). Ability to pass assessment test
