The Controls Technician will assist with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building automation systems, work with diverse BAS, mechanical, and lighting control systems, and remain up to date on industry trends and technologies.
Requirements
- Monitor Building Automation Systems for alarms and deficiencies
- Identify and correct component failures within the BAS system
- Backup existing control programs and data on a periodic basis
- Assist with installation and commissioning activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation and operation issues
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations
- Read and understand blueprints and schematics
- Work safely with hand and power tools
- Work at heights and on ladders
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic math skills
- Work in confined spaces
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
