Service Center Material Specialist - Fairbanks Morse Defense

The Service Center Material Specialist is responsible for coordinating activities in the service center shop and managing all materials, tools/calibrated equipment, and safety functions within the Service Center.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a diesel engine technology or business program (or in pursuit of), or equivalent experience
• Prior experience as FM Field Service Tech or FM Mechanic
• Prior warehouse (receiving, shipping, and/or inventory) experience
• Experience and a proven track record in a Job Shop environment
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
• Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with an ERP system (Oracle, Salesforce) is preferred
• Very good understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings
• Ability to become a licensed forklift operator
• Excellent safety record, and actively participates in safety initiatives/activities
