This position oversees and leads Exelixis’ global trade compliance efforts and global logistics activities. The Director, Global Trade Compliance will oversee customs compliance activities, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, and be the subject matter expert in processes related to import/export, duty, tariff classifications, FTZ administration, and other trade-related compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Creates and executes the vision for trade compliance through leading projects and initiates to further develop the program.
- Keep abreast with current industry movements and upcoming regulatory changes.
- Act as the main liaison within the organization for any issues or questions related to trade compliance.
- Generates policies, procedures, and standards related to Trade Compliance and Logistics.
- Educate and develop an organizational training curriculum on trade compliance subjects.
- Oversees and performs audits and investigations to maintain adherence to compliance and ensures all records are precise and up to date.
- Generate scorecards for activities related to trade, brokers and freight forwarders measuring performance and adherence to compliance.
- Oversees Transportation Validations.
- Advises on logistics strategies and projects.
