Job Description
EPCOR is hiring a part-time, paid Government Relations Intern from January to May. This role involves researching water policies, attending public hearings, drafting communications, and supporting grant applications.
Requirements
- Conduct research on local, state, and federal water policies and regulations.
- Assist with maintaining relationships with government officials, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
- Prepare summaries and briefs of meetings.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory development related to water resources, environmental protection, and utility regulation.
- Help draft communication materials that could be distributed internally and externally to communicate EPCOR’s policy initiatives.
- Prepare detailed reports for grant applications that support the utility’s efforts to lower costs for customers.
- Work closely with various departments within EPCOR such as legal, rates, public affairs, operations, engineering to support the government relations team.
