Job Description
Elderwood is seeking a compassionate Resident Care Aide (RCA) to provide personal care and support to residents in a nursing home setting. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, hygiene, meal preparation, and ensuring resident well-being under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The position requires a dedicated and empathetic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- Ability to assist residents with Daily Living Activities
- Ability to move and walk quickly and steadily in an emergency
- Ability to assist with wheelchair transport
- Ability to apply/utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Responds to residents’ requests promptly
- Demonstrates respect for residents' rights and wishes
- Documents all duties performed
- Attends required meetings and in-services
