The HSE Advisor will deliver a comprehensive Safety and Health advisory and guidance service to Project Managers and their teams to ensure all aspects of best practice safe working environment are established and maintained. The role will involve reviewing Risk Assessments, Method Statements and POWRA, carrying out HSE audits and targeted inspections, and providing expert resource for investigations into incidents and near misses.
Requirements
- A recognised Safety qualification (Level 6 NEBOSH diploma or equivalent)
- Construction Industry specific training
- PTTLS Level 3 award (desirable)
- H&S BSc/MSc and Chartered/Grad G/CMIOSH status (desirable)
- 3 years of HSE experience in the nuclear sector or other highly regulated environments
- Experience in safety performance management and effective influencing of construction managers and teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and business acumen
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to build professional working relationships with internal and external staff
- High levels of IT literacy
- Self-motivated with excellent time and priority management
- Excellent networking
- Can do, entrepreneurial attitude and a focus on impact
