Peer Specialist - Home base (Intensive)

Join Our Team as a Peer Specialist! EAC Network is looking for a dedicated part time Peer Specialist to join the Home Base Intensive Program, providing peer support to families in crisis struggling with problems such as substance abuse and mental illness.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Persons in recovery must have a minimum of three years sobriety as per funder requirements
• Knowledge of treatment and mental health programs
• Working knowledge of criminal justice issues, mental illness, substance abuse, and/or adolescent behavior preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to work cooperatively with criminal justice, treatment and mental health systems
• Proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments
• Must have access to automobile and possess a valid New York State driver’s license
