Taylor Corporation is looking for a Quality Inspector I to verify that the final work product matches written instructions and meets production standards. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, basic measuring skills, and basic problem-solving skills. The shift is Sunday - Monday from 10:00pm - 6:00am.
Requirements
- Use your eye for detail to verify that the final work product (statements and letters) matches written instructions and meets production standards
- Examine material by confirming required manufacturing or industry specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
- Return products for rework if needed and complete documentation to confirm rework
- Explain to operators and supervisors how the product doesn’t match client instructions
- Walk around to different machines to verify job accuracy
- Cross-train in different departments to further develop your skills (postal, shipping, hand table)
- Report problems or concerns with quality results to senior management immediately
- Ensure that all items going out the door are 100% accurate
- Input data into the production database
- Learn about our production process and the role that QA plays in it
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with regulations
- Inspect materials and products for conformance to specifications using fixed or preset measuring instruments
- Ensure materials and products meet tolerance levels for quality and performance and are not irregular or damaged
