Job Description
Crescent City Schools is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to provide school-based occupational therapy services to students with a variety of needs. The role includes assessments, intervention, IEP planning, and discharge planning. The OT will collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families and focus on promoting student learning and development in various settings.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Completion of all fieldwork requirements
- Current Louisiana license as a certified occupational therapist
- Advanced understanding of strategies for students with autism, developmental delay, specific learning disabilities, and behavior disorders
- Strong skills in partnering with families
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to meeting the needs of a diverse student population
- Strong organizational skills
- Consistent compliance with LA Bulletin 1508
