Job Description
Corning is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabrication Engineering Supervisor to provide technical support to manufacturing, ensure metal fabrication processes are optimized, and lead a group of process engineers. The role involves process improvement, troubleshooting, and collaborating with the shop floor and training teams. This position is key to maintaining high quality and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process.
Requirements
- Lead and/or direct engineering resources in process development
- Provide engineering support for process issues and equipment problems
- Implement manufacturing cost reduction and product improvement projects
- Design and coordinate build of fixtures
- Evaluate and coordinate equipment purchase
- Provide guidance to technicians and trainers
- Supervise process engineers and technicians
- Experience with sheet metal operations
- Experience with CNNC programming applications
