Insurance Verification Specialist

The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for verifying insurance eligibility, completing financial updates, registering new clients, and working as a liaison between finance, medical staff, and the lab. The individual must confirm client information is current, complete, and accurate, verify insurance via various payer portals, and update Credible and/or GOSH with new verified information.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two years of experience with insurance verification strongly preferred
• Knowledge of insurance verification, with an understanding of Medicaid and Medicare
• A deeply held belief in CSS’s recovery-centered mission
• Ability to communicate in-person and over the phone with clients who have severe and persistent mental illness
• Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively
• Excellent organizational, attention to detail and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook
• Skill in managing time and meeting deadlines
