We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care modalities to patients as ordered by physicians. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree or equivalent and be NBRC credentialed CRT, RRT, or Registry Eligible.
Requirements
- Administers various respiratory care modalities as ordered by physicians.
- Develops, administers, evaluates, and modifies plan of care using evidence-based medicine protocols.
- Performs and interprets blood gases, analyzing invasive and non-invasive ventilation and clinical data.
- Assists in bedside procedures such as bronchoscopy, intubation, tracheotomy, and thoracic procedures.
- Ensures proper selection, assembly, use, and cleaning or disposal of equipment and/or supplies.
- Communicates effectively with physicians and other providers regarding evaluation of need.
- Recognizes and responds to modality-related complications and communicates as such with team members.
- Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
- Responds timely and appropriately in emergency procedures.
- Documents accurately and timely, and maintains departmental records.
- Assists in orientation of newly hired employees and students.
- Integrates patient safety principles into all aspects of care.
