The Asset Management Branch is responsible for the cost-effective management of the City's $20 billion public works infrastructure assets. You are responsible to manage a wide range of operational assessments and functional design projects for water, wastewater and storm water infrastructure.
Requirements
- Completion of 4 year university degree in Civil Engineering or a related Applied Sciences program
- Minimum of 8 years of related professional experience in water, wastewater and storm water infrastructure including planning, analysis and design
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
- Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics as it relates to water resources
- Knowledge of complex municipal systems
- Knowledge of applicable legislation and practices governing water, wastewater and storm water infrastructure planning and implementation
- Analytical techniques for water, wastewater and storm water system analysis that are in current practice
- Municipal infrastructure planning principles
- Public consultation process
- Project management principles
- Capital and operating budget process
- Process management concepts and principles
- Strong knowledge of computer modeling tools including data requirements, results interpretation, model sensitivities, predictive modeling techniques and calibration techniques
- Familiarity with all applicable health and safety legislation
- Expert knowledge in applicable technical specialty (i.e. hydrology, hydraulics, computer modeling, storm water management, etc.) as demonstrated by advanced academic qualifications or significant direct experience
- Knowledge of operation of water and wastewater systems
