The Training Captain will ensure operational readiness by providing leadership, coordinating logistical needs, and providing support services necessary for emergency response, training, fire prevention, and fire rescue daily operations.
Requirements
- NFPA 1001 Level 1 and Level 2 Firefighter qualifications
- NFPA 470 Awareness and Operations (or equivalency NFPA 1072 Operations)
- NFPA 1002 Fire apparatus driver/operator (Chapters 4/5/6)
- NFPA 1021 Level 2 Fire service officer
- NFPA 1041 Level 2 Fire service instructor
- NFPA 1521 Fire service incident safety officer
- ICS 200
- Certification as a Medical First Responder (Preference- Medical First Responder Instructor)
- 7 years experience in a firefighting position or related emergency services field
- 2 years of proven leadership facilitation, project management and team building skills in fire rescue or emergency related environment
- Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Endorsement registered in Alberta or Saskatchewan
