Job Description
Centerline Logistics is seeking a Port Engineer to maintain and repair vessels, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. The role involves scheduling, coordinating maintenance, overseeing purchasing of parts, and managing vessel operations. Responsible for records keeping and reporting to funding agencies. This position requires a physically fit individual comfortable working at sea, on docks, and in port.
Requirements
- Experience maintaining tugs and barges
- Two (2) years of experience on tugs, tankers, oil barges or equivalent military experience
- U.S. Coast Guard license on Merchant Mariner’s Document (preferred)
- Knowledge of oil transportation and marine industry (preferred)
- Ability to repair marine equipment on site under adverse conditions
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- Must be physically fit for sea and port work
