Job Description
The Captain, LMS, is responsible for the safe transportation of a barge and the overall safety of the vessel, cargo, and crew. This role involves administrative functions, crew management, and maintaining tug/barge assets. It requires compliance with safety regulations and efficient vessel maintenance.
Requirements
- Valid Coast Guard license, minimum 200 GT or greater Near Coastal
- Two (2) years previous experience as a Master on twin screw tugs
- Two (2) years’ experience pushing barges
- Valid Master of Towing Near Coastal license
- Valid TWIC
- Valid first aid certificate
- Valid CPR training
- Valid HAZWOPER certificate or 24-hour training course
- Valid state driver’s license
- Valid radio operator’s license
- Valid states driver’s license
- Valid health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, and AD&D policy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
