Job Description
The Fisheries Technician will assist with monitoring of fish passages, operate fish lifts, and perform quality control checks to ensure accurate data collection. The position will require working long hours, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Assist with monitoring of upstream and downstream fish passages
- Daily operation of fish lifts to capture, sort, and count various species of migratory and resident fish
- Monitor eelways for proper water flow, remove debris, change batteries for water systems, etc.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure that all data collected are accurate and complete
- Assist with fish passage studies
