Job Description
Birdman is a rapidly growing, plant-based supplements and food company seeking an experienced Controller to lead all controllership functions. The ideal candidate will have international accounting experience, expertise in NIIF/IFRS/USGAAP, and a leadership role in transforming the company into a global agency of change. The role focuses on ensuring financial reporting, controlling expenses, and developing internal controls.
Requirements
- Lead all accounting and finance operations, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, inventory accounting, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting under relevant standards (IFRS, USGAAP, MXGAAP, NIIF).
- Oversee tax compliance and coordinate with outsourced tax advisors.
- Build and document internal controls, policies, and procedures (SOX/COSO aligned).
- Lead or support ERP implementation, automation efforts, and finance system design.
- Coordinate external audits and ensure audit readiness across all entities.
- Establish and manage outsourced accounting teams for new markets.
- Develop and lead the finance and admin team, setting clear KPIs and mentoring talent.
