Job Description
BH Properties is seeking an Associate General Counsel to provide legal and ethical guidance on real estate transactions, particularly for affordable housing and market rate developments. The role involves drafting and negotiating agreements, managing contract approvals, and ensuring compliance with federal and local regulations. This is an integral part of BH Properties’ business operations and growth plans, with a strong emphasis on value-add acquisitions and supporting the Western U.S. market.
Requirements
- Law degree and admitted in good standing with a state bar, preferably California
- Knowledge of federal affordable housing programs (LIHTC & HAP) and legacy programs
- 7-10 years of legal experience in commercial real estate (or similar)
- Outstanding communication skills
- Ability to manage teams effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
