Unclaimed Property Tax Managing Director, State and Local Tax

BDO is seeking a Tax Managing Director to provide written tax advice, evaluate tax options, and manage tax compliance for state and local tax matters. This role requires marketing, networking, and building client relationships, as well as acting as a strategic advisor and providing guidance on complex tax questions. The position focuses on both tax consulting and accounting for income taxes. The position is part of the company's Tax Services leadership team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Ten (10) or more years of prior SALT experience
• Prior experience supervising tax professionals
• Prior experience preparing and reviewing tax provisions
• Experience with corporate taxation, consolidations and partnerships preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
• Excellent communication skills
