Pipefitter

Pipe Fitters are assigned to remove, target, fabricate, repair, install system per drawings and test marine piping systems onboard ships in various stages of repair and modernization. Pipe Shop mechanics perform a variety of skilled duties such as general pipe fitting, burning/brazing, use of various mechanical attached fittings (MAF), sketching and testing of various piping systems in shop or onboard the vessel.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or 5+ years of experience in pipe fitting or a related trade
• Knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
• Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
