Ardmore Roderick is seeking a MEP Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a PE license in Illinois, and 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, including 3+ years on Chicago-based projects. The role will involve designing electrical power distribution systems, preparing permit applications, and reviewing electrical drawings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois, with experience stamping electrical drawings as Engineer of Record
• Minimum 8 years of demonstrated electrical engineering experience, including at least 3 years on Chicago-based projects
• Proven experience applying Chicago Building Code, Chicago Electrical Code and local amendments, as well as national standards (NEC, NFPA, IECC)
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for electrical system design and BIM modeling
• Expertise in ETAP or similar power system analysis software for load calculations and studies
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, low-voltage, lighting, and fire alarm system design
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for markups, document management and collaboration
• Experience performing quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications
• Field experience in system installation, troubleshooting or commissioning
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects across different regions
