Lead Engineer

This position has been created to focus on the development and expansion of Apex’s Transportation services in the North and West Central region of Minnesota. Responsibilities include business development efforts, project management, and collaborating with team members to design and develop project plans and specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineers License preferred or ability to be licensed within 6-12 months in MN
• 5-15 Years of experience working as a Civil Engineer primarily on transportation focused projects
• Experience working as a consultant or for a state agency on MnDOT, State-Aid or County-Aid projects in Minnesota is preferred
• Knowledge and experience with MnDOT Prequalification submittals is a plus
• Strong project management skills and experience is essential for this position
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a prerequisite
• Detail orientated, self-motivated with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Proficient using Microsoft Windows/Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• A valid driver’s license is required or the ability to obtain one
