The Head of Pipeline Project is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale pipeline projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, budget constraints, and timelines. This leadership role oversees multidisciplinary teams, manages stakeholder relationships, and directs all phases of pipeline design, construction, and commissioning.
Requirements
- Strong background in the supervision of technical personnel, project controls, quality control, budgets and cost control, and administration;
- Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and complex, high-value projects;
- High level of analytical thinking and problem-solving;
- Ability to influence and lead across cross-functional teams;
- In-depth knowledge of pipeline engineering, construction practices, regulatory codes, and right-of-way issues;
- Proficiency in project management tools – MS Project and solid understanding of GIS systems, AutoCAD, and pipeline simulation software;
- Familiar with budgeting, cost estimation, and earned value management (EVM);
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on continuous improvement – Fluency in English and French;
- 10 years of progressive experience in pipeline project management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role;
- Engineering degree in mechanical, civil or pipeline engineering
