Job Description
Alstom is seeking a Component Engineer for its HW Technology team in Västerås, SE. This role involves working with advanced railway signalling systems and cutting-edge electronics, ensuring high-quality component availability and managing obsolescence. The engineer will collaborate with diverse teams and contribute to long-term product lifecycle management. They will also manage sourcing, data tracking, and potential obsolescence risks.
Requirements
- Degree in electronic engineering or relevant work experience
- At least 3 years of experience with electronic components
- Strong knowledge of electronic component technologies (active, passive, discrete)
- Familiarity with component obsolescence management
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently
- Fluent in English and ideally a working knowledge of Swedish
