Job Description
As Chief Mate, you will oversee and direct the nautical department, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence. You will act as Bridge Officer of the Watch, lead the shift, and take command of the vessel in the Master's absence. You will also optimize power consumption, oversee pipe lay operations, and act as Ship Security Officer.
Requirements
- Maritime education and compliance with all STCW requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience as an Officer of the Watch
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a DPO working in the offshore oil and gas, construction, or dredging industry
- Minimum 5 rotations of experience as First Mate on a pipelay vessel actively engaged in pipelay
- COC with competency level II/2 and IV/2 "Master with NO limitations"
- DPO Unlimited certification
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications
- B2 level English proficiency (spoken and written)
