Quality Engineer

Allegion is seeking a Quality Engineer to assist in ensuring quality during all phases of production. The role involves developing and implementing methods and procedures for process control, testing and inspection, and analyzing reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions. The Quality Engineer will collaborate with supplier representatives and contribute to supplier quality improvement programs.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering degree, or other related degree
• 3-5 years of experience in a quality engineering role
• Requires expanded knowledge and experience in own area; incumbents are still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills
• Must be willing to travel 25%
• Builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers
• Solves a range of straightforward problems
• Analyses possible solutions using standard procedures
• Requires expanded conceptual knowledge in own area of expertise while developing additional skill sets
• Understands key business objectives; uses this understanding to accomplish own work
• Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies
• Explains information to others in straightforward situations
