Principal Optimization and Machine Learning Engineer

Agero is a leader in digital driver assistance services, aiming to rethink the vehicle ownership experience through data and technology. They are piloting a next-generation Dispatch System to optimize dispatching decisions, aiming to reduce manual process work and improve customer satisfaction. The company is seeking a Principal Optimization and Machine Learning Engineer to develop, evaluate, and produce the system, building predictive models, and leading a team to achieve successful outcomes.

Requirements

• 6+ yrs combined experience in Data Science and ML Engineering with ownership of production systems
• Expert-level Python
• Hands-on optimization (Mixed Integer Programming / Linear Optimization / Stochastic Optimization) and modern ML (XGBoost, PyTorch)
• Proven record designing cloud-native pipelines on AWS, GCP or Azure
• Strong SQL, feature-store design, and data quality mindset
• Ability to translate business objectives into mathematically rigorous experiments
