Mechanical Engineer (Motors and Actuators) - Hands

1X is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, prototype, and validate robotics (electro)mechanical designs for electric actuators, with a focus on the development of NEO's hands. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electric actuator design and experience with CAD, structural FEA, and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Experience with CAD (Onshape preferred)
• Experience with structural FEA
• Hands-on experience designing electric actuators and/or motor-transmission assemblies
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques to ensure manufacturability for mid- and high-volume manufacturing
