Senior Software Engineer II - Risk, Process & Data (SOX Compliance)

Join Zip's Technology function and play a critical role in uplifting and modernising the systems that power our SOX Compliance workstream. As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will design and deliver modern software solutions that reduce operational effort and strengthen risk and control visibility across the organisation.

Requirements

• Deep experience designing, building and deploying modern software solutions across cloud environments, ideally AWS.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript, with familiarity across containerisation, orchestration and supporting tooling such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong database capability across relational and NoSQL systems and confidence working with structured business data models.
• Hands-on DevOps experience including CI/CD, code management and observability practices.
• Experience working with streaming technologies such as Kafka, and interest in designing integrations that support real-time or daily synchronisation.
• A thoughtful, risk-aware approach to designing enterprise-grade systems, ideally with exposure to compliance, governance or highly regulated environments.
