Job Description
Zero Motorcycles is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to support the electrical validation of vehicle systems, subsystems, and components through hands-on testing and documentation. The ideal candidate will have an Electrical Engineering degree or related degree with an electrical background and 0-5 years of relevant experience in electrical testing, validation, or vehicle development.
Requirements
- Electrical Engineering Degree or related degree with an electrical background
- 0-5 years of relevant experience in electrical testing, validation, or vehicle development
- Utilization of data collection tools such as DMMs, Oscilloscopes, DAQs
- Working knowledge of electric vehicle architecture
- Familiarity with communication protocols
- Proficiency with test data analysis, interpretation, and reporting
- Ability to interpret technical documentation
- Experience object-oriented programming and scripting languages
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Hands-on comfort working with motorcycles
- Valid motorcycle license preferred
- Background with strain gauges, accelerometers, potentiometers, load cells, thermocouples, and related technologies
- Test Fixture and Test Bench Design experience
- Utilization of product lifecycle management (PLM) systems, requirements management tools, issue tracking tools (JIRA)
- Familiarity with SolidWorks
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute test plans, support validation activities, and effectively communicate technical findings
