Mechanical Systems Technician

The Mechanical Systems Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment used in tire testing operations.

Requirements

• Assemble, install and align mechanical components for tire testing machines and related equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on mechanical systems, including bearings, shafts, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures, ensuring minimal disruption to testing schedules.
• Fabricate or modify parts using welding, machining and other metalworking techniques.
• Ensure proper fit and alignment of components during assembly and repair.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Comply with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Work closely with lab supervision, test engineers, technicians, and lab personnel to support testing operations.
• Provide input on equipment improvements and reliability initiatives.
• Assist Facilities Manager with performing Facility improvements/repairs where needed.
