As a Parts Counter Specialist, you will deliver a superior customer experience by providing parts consultation and sales to our customers. The role involves assisting customers, providing parts knowledge, and handling transactions. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Requirements
- Courteously and quickly greet all walk-in and call-in customers
- Assist customers in a consultative manner to provide the best parts solution for their needs
- Gain proficiency in parts knowledge and continue growing as new products are introduced
- Employ superior listening skills and assess customers' needs
- Inform customers of additional related parts
- Follow up quickly with customers on back ordered items and communicate any changes in delivery dates or availability
- Create purchases orders prior to placing orders with vendors for all non-Cat back orders
- Initiate outbound sales calls to customers as directed by parts supervision
- Handle and process cash, check, and credit card transactions in compliance with company policy and procedures
- Be available to work overtime on short notice and provide after hours support when required
- Successfully complete all required training
- Review will-call area weekly, contacting customers on items not picked up and returning items to inventory, as needed
