Job Description
We are seeking a Staff Architect to join our Digital Transform team in Yahoo Mail. In this role, you'll be responsible for shaping and leading the Digital transform strategy of moving to GCP and align with business objectives, technical architecture, and long-term goals.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java and modern backend technologies
- 5+ years of experience with Google cloud
- Experience moving a product to Google cloud and have actively participated in migration
- 5+ years of solid understanding of database management (SQL/NoSQL), and the ability to query and analyze large datasets.
- Knowledge in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), with the ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency in building highly available, performant systems, platforms including experience with distributed systems.
- Ability to think critically and strategically about system design, scalability, and performance.
- Advanced knowledge of Agile Development Methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—enabling effective collaboration with diverse groups at all levels.
