Job Description
W.W. Gay Mechanical Contractor Inc is seeking an experienced Steel Fabricator for its steel fabrication shop. This full-time position requires at least 5 years of experience in a steel shop and the ability to pass a welding certification. Requirements
- Ability to read fabrication drawings, bill of materials, and cut lists.
- Competency in the use of tape measure and measuring devices.
- Competency in the use of shop tools, including Welding Equipment, Plasma Cutters, Oxygen/Acetylene Torches, Hole Punch, Plate Shear, Press-Brake, Plate Roll, Band Saw, and other common shop equipment.
- Ability to weld, FCAW/GMAW/GTAW, in an efficient and effective manner.
- Ability to pass a welding certification test using FCAW & GMAW processes in 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G positions.
- Experience with the operation and set up of CNC Equipment
- Able to follow procedures and use fabrication drawings, shop equipment, fixtures and jigs to fit, assemble, and weld various assemblies accurately and timely.
- Able to lift 60 pounds.
- Able to pass a drug test.
