Job Description
The Lead Heavy Haul Transport Driver is responsible for safely transporting oversize and overweight equipment, coordinating complex moves, and providing leadership and direction to the transport team.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of heavy haul or specialized transport experience
- Valid Class A CDL with all required endorsements for oversize/overweight hauling
- Knowledge of Arizona and New Mexico permitting laws and bridge weight restrictions
- Strong knowledge of load securement, rigging, and heavy equipment
- Proven leadership experience or ability to mentor and guide others
- Clean driving record with a strong focus on safety
- Ability to read and understand permits, routing instructions, and technical documents
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work variable hours, including nights and weekends, based on project needs
- Physically capable of securing loads, climbing onto trailers, and performing inspections
