Early Career Structural Engineer

WSP is seeking an Early Career Structural Engineer to join their Troy, NY office. The role involves providing technical assistance for design, development, and construction of building and infrastructure projects, and assisting with research, design, and construction of load-bearing structures. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline, and 0-1 years of relevant post-education experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline
• 0-1 years of relevant post-education experience
• Excellent research skills with analytical mindset
• Familiarity with process and concepts for design/build
• Familiarity with relevant structural and civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements
• Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others
• Proficient self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities
• Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools
• Familiarity with discipline-specific design software
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety
• Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements
• Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements
