Job Description
This is an operational sanitation crew member position on a 2nd shift. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing food contact surfaces and maintaining sanitary conditions within a USDA-regulated facility. They will follow established sanitation procedures, use PPE, and document activities. The position requires attention to detail, strong communication, and physical stamina.
Requirements
- Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks according to USDA Sanitation Performance Standards (9 CFR Part 416)
- Follow Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
- Maintain sanitation in welfare areas (e.g., locker rooms, restrooms)
- Complete required logs and checklists
- Assist in equipment setup and teardown
- Communicate with QA and USDA inspectors
- Maintain sanitary conditions
- Knowledge of USDA regulations including 9 CFR Part 416 and SSOPs
