The Working Families Party (WFP) is seeking a Regional Political Organizer to work in Michigan. The position involves developing and implementing regional strategy and plans to build the leadership, membership, and supporter base of the organization, and to achieve electoral and legislative victories that advance the interests of the WFP and working families in the region.
Requirements
- Create and maintain relationships with aligned community groups, advocacy organizations, labor unions, and others
- Design and execute events and other initiatives to build a political home and journey for progressive Michiganders in the region
- Identify and help recruit leaders to build local leadership bodies composed of a diverse group of strategic leaders from affiliates, allies, and the broader public
- Staff regional steering committee to execute campaigns that increase our electoral power in the region, and build the overall power of our partner groups
- Meet minimum fundraising goals to implement core functions while harnessing and organizing additional resources to build the party and win priority campaigns
- Recruits, trains, and manages local volunteers and allied campaign staff to use organizing tools such as Spoke, PDI, Scale to Win, and Mobilize
- Evaluates the success of our organizing and electoral programs and proposes and implements necessary adjustments to methods and processes in response to conditions in the region
