Job Description
Wire IT is looking for a Data Engineering Tech Lead to join their team in Portugal. As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data solutions aligned with defined data architectures. The role requires strong expertise in AWS services, including Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and X-Ray.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in Tech Lead or similar technical leadership roles
- 4–5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering roles
- Strong expertise in AWS services
- Proven experience designing and implementing scalable data solutions
- Strong solution architecture skills
- Proficiency in cloud networking concepts
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
- Experience working with relational databases
- Experience managing ETL processes and data integration pipelines
- Experience with orchestration tools
- Experience using Athena for interactive query analysis
- Familiarity with Iceberg tables
- Experience with logging, monitoring, and production troubleshooting
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
