Requirements
- Experience working in a health care setting
- Experience caring for elderly or disabled clients
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Health Care Aide Certificate
- Confidentiality/privacy requirements
- Workplace safety requirements
- Violence Prevention Program training
- SCHIPP training
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to interact well with others
- Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population
- Class 5 driver's license (for some positions)
- Valid all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance (for some positions)
