System Engineer

Wind River is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT System Engineer to join its infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Kubernetes, Proxmox, Terraform, and AWS, as well as server hardware, storage systems, and networking protocols. The role involves managing and optimizing on-premises and cloud-based systems, designing and sizing server hardware, and collaborating with DevOps and development teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in system engineering or infrastructure roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Proxmox VE
• Proficiency in Terraform and AWS infrastructure management
• Experience in server sizing and capacity planning for application workloads
• Solid Linux system administration skills
• Experience with Dell OpenManage and server maintenance tasks (FW, BIOS, BMC updates)
• Hands-on experience with storage systems and protocols like iSCSI and Fibre Channel
• Familiarity with networking concepts (VLANs, firewalls, routing)
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Checkmk, Prometheus, Grafana) is a plus
• Scripting experience (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible)
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
