The Logistics Operator will support production requirements across all business units with respect to the management and coordination of raw materials, finished products, and supporting documentation. The role will involve operating forklifts and electric powered pallet trucks, receiving and inspecting raw materials, and maintaining high standards of EH&S and housekeeping.
Requirements
- Must have excellent Housekeeping and EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) standards and a high attention to detail.
- Must have a minimum of 1-2 year’s previous experience of working in warehousing within a high volume manufacturing environment.
- Must understand the principles of JIT manufacturing, stock turns, inventory control, FIFO (First In First Out), ERP (Enterprise Requirements Planning) requirements and general warehousing duties within a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to work on own initiative as well as in teams and be able to prioritize and organize tasks.
- Must possess good communication skills both oral and written and be able to liaise with staff at all levels within the company.
- Must possess a strong level of computer literacy with the capability to promptly identify and resolve system issues to maintain ERP integrity.
- Must understand and follow TGE Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with cGMP and company policy/customer requirements at all times.
- Must be able to promptly identify and resolve Material and Warehouse issues to maintain and improve company standards.
- Must have a current forklift licence and a strong level of proficiency in the operation of the company forklifts and electric powered pallet trucks.
