Job Description
Wellpath is seeking a part-time physician to provide clinical care in correctional facilities, including Isabella County Jail, Saginaw Juvenile Detention Center, and Bay County Jail. The role involves assessing and treating patients, providing clinical oversight, and collaborating with mental health professionals. The position requires a commitment to compassionate and collaborative patient care.
Requirements
- Medical doctorate (MD) or doctor of osteopathy (DO) from an accredited university
- Two (2) years post-residency clinical experience in an outpatient/inpatient setting
- Licensed in the state of employment
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and applicable certifications
- Board certified or eligible in internal or family medicine
- 2 hours per week or equivalent in correctional or clinical settings
