Requirements
- Stock shelves, produce, and retail displays with attention to freshness, rotation, and visual appeal.
- Ensure proper labeling, dating, and organization of all retail and deli products.
- Source and manage international and specialty items that reflect Calico Corner’s culinary identity.
- Assist in entering new products and ingredients into the point-of-sale system, ensuring accurate descriptions, pricing, and sourcing details.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of charcuterie meats, cheeses, and specialty pantry items—their origins, production methods, and tasting profiles.
- Taste and serve products confidently, providing guests with ingredient education and recommendations with warmth and genuine curiosity.
- Support cheese-making and other artisan production processes, adhering to food safety and quality standards.
- Prepare breakfast and lunch items for Calico Corner’s daily service, maintaining consistency, flavor, and visual appeal.
- Slice and portion deli items precisely and carefully to order.
- Create grab-and-go items for retail coolers that balance freshness, creativity, and efficiency.
- Work closely with kitchen and retail teams to ensure smooth service and prompt product availability.
- Communicate proactively and professionally with team members and managers to ensure alignment, share updates, and resolve issues.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance personal growth, improve job-related skills, and contribute to team success.
